As a serious musician myself, a core aspect of Tulsa Native’s mission was to foster a sense of community through the local music & art scene. With my own ear to the beat of Tulsa’s indie music & rock scene I proudly partnered with local musicians and bands (friends), providing them with a platform to showcase their talents. Our website & social media presence not only sold our thoughtfully designed shirts but also served as a hub for discovering local music through a compilation CD and digital downloads. By intertwining fashion with music, we created a multi-dimensional experience that captures the heart and soul of Tulsa’s creative scene.
Furthermore, we collaborated with “Ida Red,” a local store renowned for curating and selling products from Tulsa-based brands. This partnership allowed us to extend our reach and make Tulsa Native accessible to a broader audience who share a passion for supporting local businesses. Together with Ida Red, we weren’t just selling t-shirts; we cultivated a movement that celebrates Tulsa’s unique cultural tapestry and fosters a deeper connection among its residents.
We didn’t stop at t-shirts alone – eventually, our brand expanded to include a range of additional products and accessories that embody the Tulsa Native spirit. For instance, partnering with local coffee shops and breweries to offer Tulsa Native branded keychain bottle openers, adding a touch of our identity to everyday essentials. This expansion is a testament to our commitment to weaving Tulsa’s essence into every facet of life.
